Niranjan Khatri, General Manager

Mr. Khatri has a hotel management background and has had operational experience as the General Manager of several ITC Welcomgroup hotels.

Mr. Khatri is credited with pioneering the concept of eco designing in Welcomgroup Bay Island in Port Blair, Travel House and Landbase India Ltd. His hands on experience culminated in a paper to ILO/CORNELL UNIVERSITY on eco-designing.  He was invited by CII to Head their Renewable Energy cell for one year.  His eco rating for the Delhi Government has been distributed to 1200 schools and translated into Marathi & further distributed to 6000 schools.

He has been taking sessions for IIT -Delhi & Mumbai, Delhi University, XLRI, S.P. Jain, MDI and also the CII, FICCI, PHD, Assocham on eco designing. He has been convener of the Water Committee of CII, Delhi council and is currently member of the Power & Water Committee of CII Northern region. He is also Member of Arunim, an arm of Ministry of Social Justice looking at issues of persons with multiple disabilities. He also served as a non executive director in Central Electronics Ltd for 5 years.

He is the recipient of the prestigious Hellan Kellar Award 2006.

Capt. Kohli was earlier a mariner and the business head of an innovative business line that deployed phase change materials and other inventive applications with 28 years work experience.

A blue-sky thinker on sustainable green technologies, and environmental protection initiatives; he has contributed by authoring documents and guidelines on water pollution & air pollution and has advised on projects on such matters. He is associated with various multilateral agencies and Asian Development Bank as their Consultant for establishment of Cold Chain Infrastructure in Indian states. He is consulting with several large companies nIndia for propagating energy saving options and technologies.

Sanjay Prakash , Architect and Eco-Designer
Sanjay Prakash Associates

Sanjay Prakash is a practicing architect with a commitment to energy-conscious architecture, eco-friendly design, people’s participation in planning, music and production design. Mr. Prakash’s  participative and community architecture work includes rural schools in Rajasthan (Lok Jumbish), Andhra Pradesh, Haryana and Orissa.

His architectural work in the field of education includes a research center cum school (Mirambika), an ashram hostel (Tapasya), children’s home for juvenile justice (Prayas), five engineering colleges and two higher secondary schools, a hotel management college, a ghat (Indus river), four hospitals, medical dispensaries, an integrated sports complex, factories, resorts, residences, officers and warehouses. Mr. Prakash is currently also working on distance education and rural connectivity for TARAhaat.com. He is on the managing committee of Mirambika Free Progress School, New Delhi, Co-Founder of hikshantar, Gurgaon and on the advisory board of Deepanyan Vidya Niketan.

Dr Kolanu is the International Consultant to ADB on Social and Environmental Issues in Renewable Energy Projects and is also Director, Greenstratos Consulting (P) Ltd.

He specilises in designing and implementing Renewable Energy Programmes, Environmental Management Systems and Climate Change  an CDM Projects. He has specialization in Natural Resource Management as well. In his 16 years work experience and 4 years of research experience he has worked in a number of policy assignments with MoEF, MNES, DSIR, DST, Government of India; Government of UP, Government of Andhra Pradesh and International organizations such as World Bank, UNDP, UNIDO, British High Commission, JBIC and the European Union.

P N Vasanti , Director

Ms P N Vasanti is the Director of the Centre for Media Studies (CMS). Her specialization includes social development research, in the areas of behaviour change, media studies and communication strategies for development endeavours. She has extensive experience and expertise in leading major nationwide primary research studies. Vasanti has her masters degrees in psychology and management.

As Director and also Board Member of the CMS Managing Committee, Vasanti have played a critical role in its development and achievements. CMS is an independent, not for profit national level multi-disciplinary development research and facilitative body of eminent professionals nationally known for its advocacy initiatives, appraisal studies and advisory services.

Sanjay Dube

Sanjay Dube brings the rich interdisciplinary experience in energy and climate change sector. Currently, he is leading the effort to help identify energy efficiency and CDM projects in different energy intensive sectors in South Asia. He has over 21 years of extensive experience in planning, management and implementation of projects related to energy efficiency, renewable energy, climate change, water-energy co-management and natural resources management. The experience includes the management of large energy and environment management projects in India.

Sanjay Dube has worked as Deputy Chief of Party for USAID funded ‘Water & Energy Nexus-II (WENEXA-II) Project’ and ‘Energy Conservation & Commercialization – II (ECO-II) Project in India. He also holds the position of Country Coordinator for Collaborative Labeling & Appliance Standard Program (CLASP) in India.
